Ever swiped your insta-story and see that one fit friend showing off some new fitness tricks? And hit the :O reaction. Well, I've been the recipient of that a few times. I have also been on the other side of the equation, where I've watched super fit beasts of people, clean two times my body weight effortlessly, and my jaw dropped and heart sank a little at the same time. So, I get it, I totally understand.

I have utmost respect for the Crossfitters, endurance athletes, and the who's who of the fitness world. For those of us for which exercising is already a lifestyle, we clearly understand the benefits and even enjoy the grind that sometimes working out can be.

With that being said, I get the sense that there are still many that don't know where to start when it comes to exercising, and some maybe even force themselves to exercise, or worse, view exercise as punishment for overindulging, and perhaps use it as a means to whip yourself into shape so you can look a certain way. Trust me we all face this.

Can I just say that working out is not something you HAVE to do? Yes. Counterintuitive, but it's true. In fact, as long as we view physical fitness through this lens, it is always going to feel like a chore, and it is going to be hard to stay consistent and find the joy in it. And the truth? You're not gonna want to do it.

But here is the game-changer. Working out is something we GET to do. I hope that you find freedom and empowerment in that. Fitness is investment you can decide to make in you. I hope that you begin to see working out and eating well as a way to cherish the body that you have been given. Your life is a gift and you are worth the time spent to make yourself well - mind, body, and soul.

My heart behind Dfitzle is to take the knowledge and experience I have gathered through my own journey and channel it to educate, empower and encourage- that fit and healthy is for you too. I don't know what your journey is, but as long as you're willing to put in the work, I'm right there behind you all the way.
