  • UNITED NATIONS- WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME

The WFP is the leading humanitarian organization delivering food assistance in emergencies & working with communities to improve nutrition & build resilience.

As the international community has committed to end hunger, achieve food security & improved nutrition by 2030, one in nine people worldwide still do not have enough to eat. Food & food-related assistance lie at the heart of the struggle to break the cycle of hunger & poverty. In 2019, WFP assisted 97 million people – the largest number since 2012 –  in 88 countries

As the COVID19 crisis reaches low & medium income countries, more people will need increased support to meet their essential needs in 2020. WFP is ready to step up & help the most vulnerable families put food on the table.

  • ABOLISH SLAVERY & HUMAN TRAFFICKING- A21

Human trafficking is the fastest growing crime in the world.

Slavery is happening around the world in the form of sex trafficking, forced labor, involuntary servitude, bonded labor, & child soldiers.

That’s why we’re supporting @A21— reaching the vulnerable with the message of prevention and awareness, rescuing the victim & seeking justice against their captors, & restoring the survivor to a life of hope and independence.

  • MIGRANT WORKERS IN SINGAPORE

Migrant workers around the world have been among the most vulnerable groups affected by the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.

As at 9 Sep 2020, about 94% of the nearly 57,000 COVID-19 infections in Singapore have occurred among migrant workers living in overcrowded dormitories.

They have played an integral part of building our nation and we now have an opportunity to show them that their hard work was not for naught.

Funds will be channelled to providing financial assistance to workers who are displaced at work, providing basic necessities or items required by workers in dormitories, as well as providing housing or meals to in-need workers.
